About Eric
I started out working in a factory while going to school at night. In 2000, I entered HTM as a technician, earning certifications across both biomedical and imaging devices. By 2009, I was managing a hybrid tech/manager role at a small community hospital. Over the next decade, I led multi-million-dollar hospital programs, multi-hospital systems, and national field service operations.
Along the way, I discovered a hard truth: in HTM, most leaders are promoted because they’re great techs—not because they’ve been trained to lead. That gap leaves many leaders overwhelmed, underprepared, and struggling to balance technical demands with team leadership. I know, because I’ve been there.
