My wake-up call came when I landed in the ER, exhausted and running on empty. I’ll never forget lying there, staring at the ceiling, thinking, “Is this what success looks like? Is this what I’ve worked so hard for?” That moment forced a reset.

It was also when I was first introduced to personal development. My company connected me with a life coach—and in just six months, I saw how powerful coaching could be. I decided to keep going and hired my own coach, a practice I still invest in today. That commitment to growth completely transformed how I lead, how I work, and how I live.

I didn’t climb the corporate ladder. I built my own. And now, I help others do the same.

I started out working in a factory while going to school at night. In 2000, I entered the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) field as a technician, working hands-on with equipment and learning the industry from the ground up. By 2009, I was managing a hybrid tech/manager role at a small community hospital, and by 2013, I was leading my first multi-million-dollar HTM account. Over the years, I’ve built and led high-performing teams, managing operations that impact lives every day.

But here’s what I discovered the hard way: leadership isn’t about knowing every piece of equipment or memorizing every policy. It’s about learning to manage yourself first—and then learning to lead others. Like many in HTM, I was promoted because I was a high performer and a strong tech, not because I had been given leadership training. That gap nearly cost me everything.

When I’m off the clock, you’ll find me chasing altitude and perspective: hiking alpine lakes and Colorado 14ers in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
